The increasing eclecticism of American architecture in the 1910s and 1920s is well illustrated by this spectacular Mediterranean Revival composition with tile roof, a third-floor loggia, iron railings, lions, and urns. Lee was much better known for Colonial Revival design, but, in a sense, this building would be Colonial Revival if it were located in California.
