Just beyond Park Hills Farm, this monochromatic Lustron House, with grayish-green, porcelain-enamel panels contrasting slightly with a darker green roof, adds to the variety of architecture along McCoy Road. To the side is a two-car Lustron garage in the same coloration.

In 1946 an official of the Chicago Vitreous Enamel Products Company founded the Lustron Corporation in an effort to help reduce the nation's post–World War II housing shortage. During the four years the company existed, it produced some 2,500 houses. Lustron houses, or Lustrons, as their many admirers refer to them, are composed of steel frames covered with panels of enamel on steel. Contemporary in design, they resemble ranch houses of the same period. Local laborers assembled the houses from instruction manuals that the company shipped with the materials.
