This wooden covered bridge is the last of its kind in Wisconsin. It consists of lattice trusses over a wooden plank roadway. The truss timbers, milled from pine logs, are held in place by hardwood pins, not by nails or bolts. A gabled board-and-batten superstructure encloses the bridge, and cedar shingles sheath the roof. When the bridge was retired from vehicular service in 1962, the citizens of Ozaukee County preserved it as the center-piece of a small county park on Cedar Creek.
