One of Strasburg's earliest buildings is the frame and log house (c. 1780) at 216 W. King that has an exterior-end limestone chimney and a brick stack. Its steep gable roof and small windows indicate the early date. Opposite, the late-nineteenth-century L-shaped two-story house of brick has oversized cast-iron cresting above the front porch and bay windows. Typical of many houses built in Strasburg in the late nineteenth century are the wooden houses along W. King Street's 300 block with their porches and decorative sawnwork.
