This gable-end structure with a diminutive belfry is three bays in length and has a high window to light the rear gallery. The segmental arches of the windows relieve the somewhat austere lines of the church. Across the road is the Arvonia Memorial Cemetery where many of the Welsh residents of Arvonia were buried beneath elaborate east-facing (to greet the rising sun on the day of Resurrection) gravestones, many with epitaphs in Welsh. These slabs of fine-grained slate, some of unusual shapes, have meticulously carved motifs that include weeping willows, doves, stars, opening gates of heaven, clasped hands, wheat and sickle, cross and crown, and open books.
