The five-bay, center-passage brick one-story office building with clipped gable ends features a 1930s three-bay classical portico that repeats the courthouse's oversized circular pediment window. In front of the Clerk's Office is a twenty-seven-foot-high Confederate monument (1906, J. Henry Brown) with a soldier standing atop a tall plinth.
