This is the largest of the wedge-shaped parks along Park Avenue. It was renamed in 1909 in honor of city engineer Wilfred Emory Cutshaw, who, among other achievements, developed a tree-planting program for the Fan. At the eastern tip of the park is the 1st Virginia Regiment monument (c. 1920, Ferruccio Legnaioli), a tapered plinth with a solider on top.
