The lack of a water table and belt courses betrays the date of this elegant five-bay late Georgian house. The brickwork in the splayed lintels and modillioned cornice is of the highest order. Refurbished in 1974 in connection with the national bicentennial, it is owned by the Alexandria Preservation and Restoration Commission.
