This modest, symmetrical Greek Revival house is stuccoed and scored to look like stone, and has a full basement, unusual for the area. Dilue Rose and her husband, Ira A. Harris, moved in 1845 from Houston to Columbus, where Ira served as county sheriff and city marshal. She is best known for her The Reminiscences of Mrs. Dilue Harris (1901) about the Texas Revolution.
