The Lonsdale Baptist Church, later the town hall, now a dance studio, was once located elsewhere. Like Christ Church, the Episcopal church, it was funded by the Lonsdale Company, the two representing the majority denominations in a village which, for longer than most mill towns, had few Catholics. When voters separated from Central Falls in 1900, Lincoln lost its town hall, and the old Baptist church was pressed into service for a number of years to meet the need. Although it is now somewhat dilapidated, the scale of its Greek Revival transomed door, windows, and pediment is still impressive.
