1875, P. E. Hale. 151 Park Ave.

The form of this large, two-story brick house is that of an Italian villa, but the window patterns and the wood detailing are Eastlake. The solidity of the brick walls provides a contrasting background to the lightness of the Eastlake woodwork. Tulleys engaged the Chicago architect P. E. Hale to design the house; it was constructed by Wickham Brothers of Council Bluffs.
