Contrasting paint colors—a most un-Classical convention—highlight the modernized Classical ornament, consisting of horizontal gouges representing quoining and a stylized cornice below a paneled parapet. The appearance of the building is further harmed by the installation of offices in the space originally occupied by the fire department, garage doors having been replaced with windows.
