The Italian builders and original co-owners of this saloon named it for the city in their native Tuscany. The two-story clapboard box sheathed in pressed metal “brick” retains its pressed metal cornice and original storefront with a recessed entry under a new balcony. Now a Hollywoodish invitation to tourists, the saloon once staged mock shootouts and hangings. Inside, not only the ceiling but the walls are clad in pressed metal. The Brunswick Balke Collender back bar was “Union Made by Amalgamated Wood-Workers of America.”
