1958, Cletus W. Bergen and William P. Bergen Architects. 535 E. 63rd St.

This is one of four modernist fire stations designed in the 1950s for the City of Savannah by the father-and-son team of Cletus W. and William P. Bergen. A dramatic flared gable projects over two fire-truck bays celebrating the prominence of the fire department and complements the suburban character of the neighborhood and the nearby Medical Arts Center (20.1).
