The long horizontal balustrades of the cantilevered balconies, low-pitched hipped, tile roofs, and deep eaves lend a Wrightian touch to these two-story, stuccoed buildings. Adjacent at 1005 Poplar Boulevard, Canizaro added a two-story, flat-roofed building (1951). His design, published in Architectural Record (December 1951), employs the same deep overhangs of the earlier buildings, but with vertical wood siding, screened porches, and split levels that accommodate a porte-cochere.
