Located behind 540 E. Jones Street, these remarkably intact single-story side-gabled worker cottages follow a saddlebag plan with a large central fireplace serving the kitchens in both of

the separate units. Each unit’s kitchen serves as a passage from front to back with a door at each end, and also has openings into two unheated rooms at the outer sides. Interior walls are simple thin wooden partitions.
