The stone store at 7609 Main Street was one of the few survivors of the 1868 flood. The two-story, five-bay building received a two-bay addition on the north. The building continued to be used as a general store into the 1930s. In 1939 it was sold to the Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department which added large doors on the south end to accommodate fire engines (since removed). In 1949, the property was sold to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church for use as a parish house for several decades. It was sitting unused until restored by the Patapsco Distilling Company for use as a production facility and tasting room opened in 2017.
