The two-story buff brick building has an unusual facade composed of a wide central bay flanked by two narrow bays defined by masonry pilasters. Each pair of pilasters supports a cast-stone composition crowned by a three-dimensional head of a pharaoh gazing calmly over Stonewall Street. With the exception of these Egyptian features, perhaps the mortuary’s symbolic forecasting of eternal rest, the building’s facade reflects a Prairie Style influence.

The adjacent and considerably larger building on the corner at 2615 Stonewall is the Greenville Masonic Lodge No. 335 (c. 1890). The three-story tawny brick structure’s prominent pressed metal cornice over modillions is its primary stylistic asset.
