The Charles Nelson House is one of the smallest dwellings in Oysterville’s Historic District. It is located just south of the Ned Osborne House, at the southern tip of the district on Territory Road. Along with the nearby Captain Stream House, the Nelson House is a cottage with shallow gable roofs and double-hung windows. It features a 384-square-foot floorplan, with only three rooms. Despite the small configuration, Nelson and his wife raised seven children in this residence. An addition was built behind the house at a later date.
