c. 1908

The old roadhouse stands near the entrance. Constructed after the original one burned in 1908, it is a simple gable-roofed building with a large addition on one side. The wood-framed building has a variety of claddings, including novelty siding, horizontal planks, and board-and-batten. During the time that the site was an orphanage, the roadhouse served as the laundry.
