The Spring Creek County Historical Association moved a number of nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century buildings to this site to interpret the history of Tomball. The five-bay, central-hall, Gulf Coast cottage (c. 1860) of French immigrant Eugene Pillot is the most architecturally distinctive. Also of interest is the Katherina and Johann Heinrich Theiss House (1850s) , a one-story, central-hall, wood cottage with full-width front veranda and a subsidiary wing attached to one end of the veranda, originally located at Rose-hill. Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of 1905 is a late example of the Southern vernacular church house type.
