Treviño, a grandson of the original founder, built the most elaborate dwelling in San Ygnacio. Elevated from the street on banquetas, the original flat-roofed corner pavilion features sandstone pilasters, cornice, and windows with original metal grilles. This house caught the attention of architect and critic I. T. Frary, who photographed it in 1919 for Architectural Record, showcasing a series of now-extinct, heavily textured, dark rectangular panels that contrasted with the smooth white plaster of its exterior walls.
