1927. 200 E. Richard Ave.

This store was a prime commercial outlet in the business sector of Little Mexico, the self-sustaining enclave that housed the Mexican American community in the northeast quadrant of Kingsville. The commercial block with a curved parapet was owned by Vicente Salazar, who was lured by Kingsville's prosperity to move from the Rio Grande in 1919. Closed in 1965, the building reopened in 2009 for retail use.
