1933–1939, Herbert Maier and Arthur Fehr. TX 21, 1 mile east of Bastrop

Built by CCC Companies 1805 and 1811, on sixty-five hundred acres, the state park structures were designed in the rustic manner by Austin architect Arthur Fehr. The park structures, including the entrance portal, curbing, fencing, culverts, pedestrian and vehicular bridges, amphitheater, and twelve cabins, are built of local stone and timber in a natural setting. The park is recognized as a National Historic Landmark.
