This aptly named street is Wellsburg's chief residential venue. Several houses stand so close to the brow of the ridge above the avenue that they are better seen from Commerce Street, one block to the west and at a lower level. The houses are all on the east side of the street and enjoy views of Wellsburg and the river valley beyond.
