c. 1879. 715 Ten Rod Rd.

Renovated in 1986 for condominiums, this is the most intact of the four Rodman houses. Walter, the artistic Rodman son, is said to have designed each interior doorway differently and kept a kiln in the basement for local pottery classes. Set behind a granite and iron fence on broad lawns and replete with porches, the house carries its striped mansard on deep sawn brackets, like a broad-brimmed hat.
