Narragansett Avenue is the borderline between the older Upper Cliffs neighborhood and the famous district of mansion-cottages built between the 1880s and the 1920s to its south. The three-story Morgan House, representing the earlier era, is an asymmetrical Italianate villa with tall entry tower, horizontal boarding, bracketed eaves, and a large addition to the west.
