Bay Mill (later Shore Mill)

c. 1840 and later. 1986–1987, converted to condominiums. 83 King St.

This three-story, stuccoed stone mill with a trapdoor monitor is typical of early-nineteenth-century Rhode Island industrial structures; additions on the south and the mansard-roof office are late nineteenth-century additions. The only documented textile mill in East Greenwich, it stands on the site of one of the first fully mechanized textile mills in the state.
