The prim white-painted wood portico in the Doric order ties this tiny church to New England while its denomination indicates its place on the New York border. A small datestone set into the planks of the entablature attests to its late construction date, but its plans were drawn more than a decade before. An academy stood across from the church, while the state road provided connections to Milford on the north and Marshall's Creek to the south. When the area was taken over for the Tocks Island Dam project (see PI1), the church was acquired for demolition but has now been adapted as a house and antique store.
