1909, George T. Pearson. 415 W. Willow Grove Ave.

The Hewitt brothers designed the quintessential institution of elite Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Cricket Club, in 1883. The original building was demolished, but Kennedy, Hays and Kelsey's Ladies Clubhouse—a bit of lemon-chiffon fluff in frame and clapboard—survives, as does George T. Pearson's elegant Colonial Revival design, which adhered to the model of McKim, Mead and White's Germantown Cricket Club (1890–1891) at Morris and Manheim streets in Germantown. The club has been updated with a new entrance on the parking lot side by James Kise.
