This is an increasingly rare building type, the historic luxury car showroom, which indicates the wealth in New Castle between the two world wars. The basic rectangular brick building is dressed up with a curved parapet and glazed terra-cotta with a Cadillac emblem in jewel tones on the facade. Large show windows and a recessed entrance complete the commercial face. Anna Wagner Keichline, an architect from Bellefonte, Centre County, designed that town's Cadillac dealership in 1916 (
CE3), and this building, while a great deal smaller, could also be her design.
