Located on a winding country road, this brick ten-sided farmhouse was built in 1855, when polygonal houses were touted as the most energy efficient and sun-filled domestic spaces. Advocates of such houses believed that the polygonal construction reduced the force of the wind and retained heat inside. William W. Walker, the first owner of this house, was an active abolitionist.
