Cutsaw, as the city engineer, designed a significant number of buildings in Richmond in a variety of styles. In this case he picked the currently popular Dutch Colonial Revival and created a flamboyant example with a stepped gable roof in front, gambrel roof in rear, and vibrant limestone trim.
