The only two-story residence on the plantation, this Colonial Revival house deviates from the style with its asymmetrical facade. However, its clapboard siding, shuttered double-hung windows, round-arched portico supported by Doric columns, and entrance framed by sidelights and fanlight all convey a New England sensibility. Set back from the road by a high hedge and expansive lawn, the house provided evidence of the manager's standing within the community.
