During the early twentieth century, a number of apartment buildings were built along the pike. This example is among the most notable, and as its name indicates, the style is Spanishinfluenced. Arched windows, iron balconies, stucco, and an open, arcaded porch on the top floor bolster the Iberian illusion. The street floor was designed to contain shops, as was the one-and-one-half-story wing attached to the south of the main block.
