Opened on July 6, 1950, this drive-in theater could accommodate 600 cars. The site has long been vacant, but the impressive entrance portal on the highway remains. Decorated with neon stars, it is a perfect fifties period piece. At last viewing, the marquee adjacent to the entrance advertised a main feature, but no coming attractions: “TONIGHT: Sixteen acres for sale. Cheap.”
