The first story of this two-story Queen Anne house is red brick; the second is covered with red-painted fish-scale shingles. An expansive porch curves around one side of the house, and a steep, multiwindowed gable protrudes from the hipped roof. This was formerly the home of West Virginia's U.S. senator Jennings Randolph, who entered Congress as a representative in 1933 and began his long Senate career in 1958.
