This two-bay brick house with an arched doorway and iron balcony originally stood downtown at 2nd Street. Threatened with demolition, it was enlisted in the effort to make the St. John's Church neighborhood a showplace of antebellum buildings. Elisabeth Scott Bocock acquired it and had it dismantled and moved to this site.
