This apartment block is similar to Bossom's nearby Prestwould Apartments (1927; 612 W. Franklin Street). The use of brick and limestone Gothic details in an apartment building is unusual, but they enliven its tall silhouette against the sky. Many of the more delicate elements along the parapet have been lost, as was the interior decoration in the conversion to a university dormitory.
