c. 1780. 1869, relocation. 417 Middle St.

Originally constructed at Crawford and Glasgow Street, this wood-frame late Georgian house was sold to John Nivison in 1784. It was moved one block to its present location in 1869, after which it was occupied by the Ball family. The symmetrical facade is five bays across with a central entrance behind a simple portico on the first level. The second level is tucked beneath a gambrel roof with a dentiled cornice along the eaves.
