This gable-fronted church with a modest square steeple is one of Texas's “painted churches.” The Wendish congregants painted the decorative interior ceiling, walls, altar, and columns in blue and white with rust-colored stencil work on the ceiling. The pulpit is claimed to be the tallest in the state.
