The Wilson House is a common suburban ranch-style house built shortly after Wilson moved to Temple from Los Angeles in 1956. The extraordinary interior was designed by daughter Bonnie McIninich. Ralph Wilson, founder of Ralph Wilson Plastics, now Wilsonart International, used his personal residence to experiment with plastic laminate products from the Temple plant. Laminates are used in a variety of applications from counters, cabinets, walls, and floors to even the interior of the garage. Wilsonart maintains the house as a museum open by appointment.
