Situated south of Virginia Street, the cross-town street that is downtown's main link to the TX 35 bypass, the Calhoun County Courthouse was designed by Rustay and Martin of Houston with an aggressive display of contemporary, porcelain-enameled-aluminum curtain wall panels. The courthouse was rehabilitated in 2006 by Bailey Architects.
