This modest and well-preserved early Victorian residence, set gable end to the street, is distinguished by an entrance with a flat hood consisting of a full modillioned and dentiled cornice, brackets with drop pendants, and jigsawn spandrel ornamentation, all sheltering a door surround of side lights and transom. When built, this was a village type for the middle-class businessman or professional and marked the bounds of Greenville, before one reached the orchards immediately beyond.
