Seventh Day Baptist Church John M. Miller

Seventh Day Baptist Church

1846–1847. 1887, belfry. 281 Spring St.

The dominating structure in this pleasant, well-preserved village is the Baptist church, a broad, rather loosely composed edifice with a pair of side-lighted Greek Revival enframed doors in front, a too-diminutive Palladian window, and, eventually, an overscaled belfry. Its raised site, approached by an allée of maples, magnifies its impact.
