Sited at the border of Greene and Washington counties, overlooking Ten Mile Creek, this large stone ironmaster's house is set well back from the confluence of the creek and the river. It is a two-and-one-half-story golden sandstone gable-roofed house with an equally large addition at the rear. In 1969, it became notorious as the site of the murders of Joseph “Jock” Yablonski and his family, as ordered by the president of the United Mine Workers at the time, Tony Boyle.
