The Pembina County Courthouse is the only Buechner and Orth courthouse not to have a central dome. Instead, statues were placed on the roofline overlooking the front entrance. The building is constructed of Hebron yellow brick, with a Bedford limestone basement story. The hooded entrance surround, frieze, and cornices are also of limestone, with rosettes at the sides and a carved tympanum. The interior was fully restored following an extensive fire. A shallow vaulted skylight springs from interior pilasters with murals and stenciling.
