Sited on a three-acre garden on the shore of Lake Linton, the authentic tea house was created in Saginaw as a symbol of friendship and cultural exchange with her sister city, Tukushima, Japan. The garden is planted with weeping cherry trees and ornamented with stone lanterns, bamboo gates, gazebo, and an arching vermillion bridge over a stream.
