No longer the headquarters of Wang, this classically influenced modern building served as the center for the operations of the Central Artery/Tunnel Project (WF4). The termination of an axis along Atlantic Avenue from the South Station Transportation Center (FD26), the cast-concrete building is distinguished by a strict symmetrical balance, particularly between the five-bay arcade at the ground level and the semi-circular lunettes in the cornice of the whole, vaguely recalling Italian Fascist architecture of the pre–World War II years.
