Here is a 1930s version of the Colonial Revival, with red brick walls and a small cupola. The base, pilasters, and entablature are all here, but they have been “modernized,” i.e., simplified to thin, almost two-dimensional suggestions of those elements. In its park setting the building successfully states its public use.
